We are now back at home base in Philadelphia after attending the Case District V conference in Chicago. There were many highlights and one of the challenges set by Josh Harraman, Conference Chair for 2015, was to meet twenty people that you could add to your professional network over the course of the conference.
As an exhibitor, one of the highlights was meeting our fellow exhibitors, tech firms and suppliers in the higher education industry. It’s a privilege to now count many as part of the eCity network and we look forward to building a working relationship with these industry innovators.
An overview of exhibitors that made a splash at CASE V include:
EverTrue
Founded in Boston in 2010 with close to 50 employees, EverTrue’s mission is “to build relationships in pursuit of a better world.” Their platform integrates with your own database system whether it’s Salesforce or Blackbaud and adds insights from dynamic integrations and social sources such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
Cerkl
Tarek and Sara were our closest neighbors in the exhibitor hall. A nimble startup based in Cincinnati Cerkl (pronounced “circle”) helps solve the problem of delivering personalized content to your diverse network based on their interests and schedule. With increasing engagement, Cerkl allows you to use your data to continually optimize the interactions that are critical to the event, campaign or initiative that your institution is running.
Feats
If you’re thinking about creating a memorable fundraising event, then look no further than Feats. Since 1985 they have helped their clients drive philanthropy, evoke emotions, improve communication and change behavior through powerful live events and experiences. Based in Baltimore, they have recently won the award for being one of the top 100 fastest growing US inner city companies.
CampusTap
CampusTap is an early-stage startup based in Boston that got its first round of seed funding in March 2015. Its online mentoring and career management platform improves campus-wide communication and student engagement by matching your students with top internships, jobs and employers.
GiveCampus
GiveCampus is a social fundraising and engagement platform that creates an impactful outreach to alumni. GiveCampus has some great case studies how they have leveraged social media to make meaningful connections and drive fundraising initiatives to the next level.
FIRSTHAND
Firsthand’s platform allows your students to get an advantage when making the transition into the workplace. Mentoring is the #1 way that alumni want to give back and Firsthand has two platforms that can enable this: their Alumni Mentoring Platform and their Career Advisor Platform. Based in New York and trusted by over 100 top universities, it’s a service that is looking to expand.
These were our highlights but we would love to get yours. We have created a short survey and would love to get your feedback.
